--- Thirty of us took a bus from Port Huron to he airport, flew to Vancouver, and boarded the Carnival Spirit. --- We hen cruised the very scenic first portion of the Inside Passage to our first stop, Ketchikan. --- In ketchikan we dis some shopping then our group rented bus (complete with a guide) --- and saw the nearby sights - salmon streams, fantastic scenery, and the totem poles. --- We then went back to town and checked out the local sights, including the famous "Dolly's House". --- Our next stop was Juneau, where we got another bus --- and went up to the glacier (and saw a lot of outstanding scenery on the way). --- At Skagway we disembarked the ship, checked out the town, --- then got another bus and went up the very scenic White Pass --- to the Continental Divide. Then on the way back we visited the old cemetary, --- saw the old White Pass RR yard, and did some shopping. --- During this cruise we ate all our meals on the ship. After Skagway, our next stop was Sitka, --- where we again saw the local sights and took a lot of pictures. --- Dress is generall casual on the Spirit, but there is a Formal Night (and nightly "creations" in you cabin). --- The cruise up Prince William Sound with its countless glaciers and Iceburgs was outstanding! --- One day on the cruise, we all wore our "yellow shirts". We got off the ship at Seward --- and were bused up to the very colorful Anchorage where we saw the sights and shopped before flying back to Michigan. --- Alaska 2002 Formal and Yellow Shirt pictures.
